At Orange High School, our aim is to provide a supportive environment in which students are encouraged to achieve. Whilst we retain our strong sense of tradition, we are continually seeking to make improvements in all facets of school life. In particular, we are committed to reviewing aspects of the welfare policy as well as curriculum delivery.

Throughout the year, we have continued to consult with the parent body of the school to improve teaching and learning conditions for all students. Access to technology is being constantly improved and students also gain the benefit from environmental improvements such as the covered outdoor learning area.

The junior curriculum continues to meet the needs of individual students as it enables them to plot an individual program of study.

As a school community we aim to:

  • set realistic goals and priorities
  • create a pleasant school environment
  • encourage and reward achievement
  • build morale and school pride
  • treat each other positively and respectfully
  • develop student leadership
  • develop flexibility in the curriculum
  • encourage participation in decision-making
  • foster talents
  • emphasise basic skills
  • introduce new technology
  • access additional resources
