NSW public schools are part of a strong and supportive public education system. All schools develop a comprehensive school plan in consultation with the school community, connected to a budget and student outcomes. The 2015 – 2017 school plan brings together a number of reforms to give NSW public schools greater authority to meet the needs of their communities, to improve the quality of teaching in schools and to improve outcomes for all students. It is highly strategic, focusing on 3 key areas for improvement determined by the school in consultation with its community, to ensure a profound difference to the ongoing growth and development of the school.
The Annual Report is provided to the school community as an account of the school’s operations and achievements throughout the year. It is the result of rigorous school self-assessment practices undertaken collaboratively with staff, parent/caregivers and student leaders.
It provides a detailed account of the progress the school has made to provide high quality educational opportunities for each and every child set out in the school plan. It outlines the findings from self-assessment that reflect on the impact of key school strategies for improved learning and the benefit to all students from the expenditure of resources including equity funding.
The Annual Report describes the school’s high quality practices across the three domains of the School Excellence Framework of learning, Teaching and Leading.
